The world as I see it is based upon one's inherent ability to market either themselves, or their business interest correctly. The prime reason that most people fail in any business could be found in one term, location. In offline businesses, the location of a business interest is paramount. The old adage of no traffic to the store would equal no sales should be quite apparent. The same goes with an online business. Your location on the Internet, with high traffic, or niche marketing keywords, should be the primary goal of the business owner. It is a sad but true fact that almost no one involved in the MLM or network marketing business has any real clue on how to properly educate themselves on the process, and move steadily forward, on a day by day basis, until the location is achieved and held consistently.

The pseudo gurus out there will tell you that the power is in the list. So, in essence, building a huge email list should provide everything that any marketer needs to make sales, right? Well, in a perfect world, this might very well be the case, but in the real world, almost no email delivers anyway. I know personally that I have a very difficult time in getting an email, any email out to anyone. There must be some liberal minded, pencil toting, tape around the glasses moron, that is telling everyone which email that they will receive, and which email they will not receive. In other words, email marketing is pretty much a dead deal in marketing a business on the Internet. This is not to say that being effective with email lists can work, but for most MLM pitch men and women, that is nothing short of wasting valuable time in pursuing. In 2012, that is just not happening in the world of real marketing.

The research and testing for that category over the last few weeks has led me to believe that franchising is advertised much like the proverbial carnival show barker out in the carnival midway. The franchise, any franchise will take time, energy, effort and immense resources and a will of iron to make it pay on a profitable scale for the long term. It goes without saying that most who enter the hallowed halls of buying a franchise business model will soon find themselves wrapped in a maze of hard work, no profit, confusion and bewilderment. They fell for the latest and greatest widget franchise, that was advertised by hacking pitch men and ad agencies, that have no clue what real marketing and research really is all about..

All types of businesses pursued should come with a provision that reads, "you must come fully prepared to research your market before entering! Without this type of knowledge and insight, any business will be doomed to fail in today's economy. It was also surprising at the lack of turn out to the webinar that I saw. This leads me to know for a fact that cultural apathy is indeed rampant in the good old USA today. After all, attending a webinar is about the simplest and best way to gain insight and information on the real ways to market any business in todays fast paced world. The real killer in this society is apathy, and believe you me, its a far bigger problem than one might presuppose. I see it everywhere that I go. No one really wants to do anything, and is depending on the US to pull their wings out of the fire. For me, this is not the case.

So what is the answer to the riddle of surviving in today's economic doldrums? Education, knowledge, insight, perspectives and good old fashioned hard work will see anyone through the bad times. Yes, I know its an old fashioned thinking style, but the same values that made this country great are still there, they have simply been thwarted by liberal thinking. Its time for the conservatives to stand together and say that we will survive, no matter what is thrown in our path!

WordPress Is History!

I am through with the worst blogging system found on Google today called WordPress. Within this amazingly obscure and easy to hack system, one finds the most amazing amount of bad information, bad coding, bad template construction and the list goes on and on.

I have built numerous WordPress blogs over the years, but as of late, the system keeps having security updates, sometime on a daily basis, just to try to keep the scammers, spammers, and black hat guys at bay. Obviously they are not doing a very good job of it.

On this positive note, it should be noted that the site: Butch Hamilton, is now hosted on the Veretekk system Platinum Control Panel blogger drone series. On can clearly see the benefits of doing this, and the question comes to my mind. Why is everyone marketing goods and services on Google today, NOT buying a Veretekk Gold System?

If you think that business, real business is about guys dressed in three piece suits, driving Rolls Royce automobiles to their high corporate jobs, then think again. Real business is run by solid, well grounded red-necked conservatives, like me. I am not about the hype of the Internet, and as a matter of fact, find most of the Information on Google total BS. Perhpas the following will explain more about me, and my business.

I was listening to Hank Williams song: Country Boy Can Survive, and I thought this would be an excellent way to convey not only my thinking about life in general, but also how it applies precisely to surviving using network marketing as a business model.

The fact is, I am a country boy, born and raised in the country. I am a natural born survivor of things that would make modern man shake and shimmer all over. I have been down the rocky and hard road in my life, and yet, I have been able to build a powerful network marketing business by following a few simple rules and guidelines.

My stand on life and living is rather unique in the world of the Internet. You see, we have been bombarded by so many lies, hype and scam on the Internet, that most people shy away from even thinking about building a network marketing business. I can feel very good at the end of the day for my upbringing to always tell the truth, and never exaggerate anything about my business. In today world on Google, it is reminiscent of a time that the liars, scammers, hype artists and the basically disreputable and unsavory people are found. They are trying to lie, cheat, steal and basically do not good to others, by their techniques and strategies. It is no small wonder that good, honest and hard working people are afraid of anything that deal with the Internet, and that could even include email. The scammers of this world have literally tried to take over nearly all of the good parts of the online world, and make it an evil good for nothing entity. And, by the way, they are doing a good job of it, as even myself, someone who has worked online for many years, is very skeptical when it comes to purchasing something, or finding out more information about something.

It would be very easy to fall into with the no gooders of the Internet. One could choose to lie to others about how much money that they are making. One could choose to take the age old "fake it until you make it" motto. After all, a little white lie hurts no one, right? One could choose to buy leads from lead scrapers who sell those leads to people who use iBuzzpro automated phone dialing systems. People could buy leads and try to call these so-called fresh prospects, only to get some Grandma on the line who just wanted to do something with her time, and found a site where she submitted her email and phone number. After all, Grandma asked for it, right?

Guess what. You just entered your name, email address and phone number into a huge database, and you will begin getting all kinds of offers you did not want, and did not even ask for!

Is There Any Good Left on Google?

You would begin to wonder, but actually, yes there is. There are many people who work, as I do, run their business right, tell the truth and basically live the right way, even though they work in the mud hole of the universe called the Internet. These hard working and industrious people are busy out there promoting their sites, telling the truth in their articles, and are an actual credits to the Internet world. It is indeed rare; however, to locate these people. You must sift through the garbage to find the good ones!

Looking back over time, the franchise has been around for many years. That process actually began with the Singer Sawing Machine Opportunity.

In the 1850's the Singer Company produced sewing machines but didn't have enough capital to actually pay their salesmen salaries. Instead, they created a network of dealers. This is a totally free service, and one that I highly recommend.

Google Keyword Selector Tool - This is an excellent resource to begin to learn the process of choosing effective keywords for online promoting purposes. This is NOT the final authority in learning how to choose keywords, as the process takes a great deal of time to learn to master correctly. This keyword tool should be used as a simple guideline only.

Additional Software Downloads

Be aware that downloading software from the Internet can be a risky business. I only recommend using trusted sites to accomplish this. I find that researching and using services like the following will provide a safe environment to download and find the best software to use for online promoting purposes.

Cnet.com - I always find safe and reliable software downloads by using this service. They have a broad range of both free and paid services to use.

Services are available online for all types of promoting. Most of these are free services, and should be considered for your online promoting needs. I would be the first to say that I have never much cared for the term social media. That term conjures up many things for me personally, like the biggest time waster on Google today called Facebook. Cold shivers run up and down my spine when I do login there, which is not that often by the way, and I see the mindless, and mind numbing rhetoric that is posted there so many times that I lose count, and interest, very quickly. YouTube, another of my least favorite social media groups, takes great pride in letting ridiculous nose pickers keep their videos forever; however, for those of us interested in using their exclusive club for things like promoting a business model, heaven forbid! In case the reader has not seen my true thoughts on YouTube, visit the timely video called Internet Censorship, which will tell the actual story about the inner workings of this so called, social media group. Now, we turn our thoughts and perspectives to what I personally believe, is the best social media system that I have seen so far.

LinkedIn

It did take me a while to wrap my head around LinkedIn, but the way that I approach using any site, I take and visualize first, what I wish to accomplish. I check all the different features, and more importantly for my use, I look at the overall performance listed on the search engines for the service. In other words, would I spend my time in using,m posting and promoting this service to others? The answer to this question only comes to me after doing my due diligence and research. I am not, by nature, able to promote something to others that is not real. I only look for value and substance, and this is exactly what I have found within the LinkedIn system.

LinkedIn Groups

I have just started developing some groups within LinkedIn, and I find this a great way to get messages out live on Google where others will find it, and perhaps respond positively. Some of the groups I have started are found below, with a brief explanation of each of them.

Butch Hamiltons Conference Room - In this group, the first one I started, I decided to copy over from my site: Butch Hamiltons Conference Room, some of the same topics of interest that I use there when conducting my search engine optimization training classes for Veretekk. I invited other users to come and share their ideas, and so far, the response has been quite good. The LinkedIn groups are very flexible, and the total appeal for me is that they are incredibly powerful for Google promoting.

What Is a Backlink? - In this LinkedIn Group, I go into the art of creative positive and relevant backlinks for search engine optimization purposes. While I find no really good information, and mostly sales pitches about their importance, I figured to dispel many of the rumors going around the Internet, and actually provide real people with solutions to marketing their businesses. Search Engine Optimization Training and Mentoring - In this LinkedIn Group, I decided to keep those involved in the automated marketing system called Veretekk, updated with the latest ideas and systems that are available within it. The response from other Veretekk Gold Subscribers has been outstanding, and I am positive in the future, this LinkedIn Group will become very powerful.

The fact is, I am a country boy, born and raised in the country. I am a natural born survivor of things that would make modern man shake and shimmer all over. I have been down the rocky and hard road in my life, and yet, I have been able to build a powerful network marketing business by following a few simple rules and guidelines.

My stand on life and living is rather unique in the world of the Internet. You see, we have been bombarded by so many lies, hype and scam on the Internet, that most people shy away from even thinking about building a network marketing business. For me, its a natural process to implement proven methods of search engine optimization to put businesses where people will find it. That is my stock and trade in building businesses. I can feel very good at the end of the day for my upbringing to always tell the truth, and never exaggerate anything about my business. Like the Hamilton Family Legacy site, this will be my life on the Internet for others to read, evaluate and even fill out the form to know more about what I have found to be the most stable business model found on Google today.

Telling people the truth about business, and seeing that they have all the necessary information they need to make a logical choice about becoming a part of it, is my purpose on this site. I am seeing a new trend in the USA, and that is one of total and undeniable cultural apathy. No matter where one goes, or to whom one speaks, there seems to be a cloud of apathy that hangs thick over the culture today. As a people, we have been systematically striped of the good old American Dream, the dream that made this country what it is today, and made us an apathetic, entitlement rich culture where most are content to stand by and just watch, hope and pray that things will get better. Daily, we do not make much effort towards building a sound financial future, rather a good part of the people are looking to the Government, as a solution to the problems that we face economically today.

This is very apparent in the national airports where once, the makes dominated the baggage handling jobs, and now, young females have taken over many positions. The young modern male is not going to work unless they can start out right out of the gate making over $100K per year. Young women seem to be making the move to take the jobs, earn the living and basically have set themselves as the new leaders in the world. This is a good indicator of our modern culture. We are not going to move and shake, rather we are content to sit and idly think that things will get better. We are not willing to stand up and take charge any longer.

The Hamilton Family Legacy site is a representation of what can be accomplished in terms of building a stable and sound business by tapping into the ebb and flow of Google, to get the message across to people that a business can indeed be built today, that will provide a sound financial future for our families by becoming part of a sound and stable business model. Hamilton Family Legacy is dedicated to showing important information concerning the care and growing of a significant business model that I have been involved in for nearly four years. Network Marketing

While some will be completely turned off by the term network marketing, the business model is sound in theory. The problem with most companies is that they offer little, if any, real information that their members can use in order to build their business the right way. Network marketing is built on a simple and direct idea. Independent, non-salaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or associates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the company that produces the products or provides the services they sell. They are awarded a commission based upon the volume of product sold through their own sales efforts as well as that of their downline organization.

Independent distributors develop their organizations by either building an active customer base, who buy direct from the company, or by recruiting a downline of independent distributors who also build a customer base, thereby expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a profit by retailing products they purchased from the company at wholesale price.

As stated before, the term MLM can make many hang their heads in disgust, as quite possibly they have been financially injured by an association with some MLM or network marketing company. To be sure, the Internet is full of lies and liars, and the MLM industry is responsible for many people being stripped of their money, time and pride.

Network marketing is not to blame for this, and as a matter of fact, most any business model one can name is a product of the pyramid structure. The corporation is the head, and immediately below, the various distributors fall within the lower levels of the hierarchy. Even the Government of the USA is a pyramid, whether we like the sound of it or not. There is always an entity at the top of anything that we pursue in life, and we fall with the hierarchical structure somewhere down below.

In network marketing, we see that many substantial independent business men and women do incredibly well, while the masses do almost nothing. The fact of the matter is that these companies offer little, as stated before, in the actual ways to build and promote the business to others. What happens as a result of that is the age old sites faking it until they make it routine. This is common place with the claims of instant riches, success and money flowing from an Internet type business venture.

The fact of the matter is, network marketing is like any offline business one can name. It will take years to achieve success and notoriety. For myself, I have been able to dig deeply into exactly the way that the Internet functions, and ii is a simple fact that I can put my information where people will see, and respond.

There will be no excited claims of success, and as stated before, the only way to find out what the business model is, will be to fill out the form listed below each article. Buying leads to promote a business is simply playing a fools game of chance. Most do not realize that that so-called special one of a kind lead has been resold to others, just like you, hundreds, and quite possibly thousands of times. Needless to say that when you pick up the phone to call this fresh prospect, the results you will have will most likely not connect with the perception that you have.

Leads are necessary, but in fact, very perplexing and frustrating for most. That lead is a real person. That lead may become your best marketer. That lead deserves attention and respect. That lead could be the difference in your success, or failure. The whole aspect of lead generation deals precisely on how you approach the lead in question.

Let us learn more about leads below.

A lead, or a sales lead, or Sales Lead, is the identification of a person or entity that has the interest and authority to purchase a product or service. This step represents the first stage of a sales process. The lead may have a corporation or business associated (a B2B lead) with the person(s). Sales leads are generic leads - i.e. a person signs up for a type of offer, instead of a particular company or brand. Sales leads come from either lead generation companies processes such as trade fair|trade shows, direct marketing, advertising, Internet marketing, spam, gimmicks, or from sales person prospecting activities such as cold calling. For a sales lead to qualify as a sales prospect, or equivalently to move a lead from the process step sales lead to the process sales prospect, qualification must be performed and evaluated. Typically this involves identifying by direct interrogation the lead's product applicability, availability of funding and time frame for purchase. This is also the entry point of a sales tunnel, sales funnel or sales pipeline. A lead that is generated via a lead capture page is a potential sale. It all depends on the approach that the LCP owner uses to speak with that prospect, that will determine the final outcome.

Some companies providing sales leads become the business's one source of leads by integrating outbound calling with email and postal campaigns to create a multi-touch lead. Related to the idea of multi-touch leads is the "Seven Contact to Sale Theory," which delivers leads that start with an outbound call, followed by an email and sometimes postal piece. By the time the lead purchaser gets the lead, the customer is familiar with their brand and has an opportunity to request additional information.

When buying Internet leads from a marketing company there are a wide range of different products depending on how the leads are sold and the lead companies polices. Exclusive Internet leads are sold to one company, but depending on the company may be sold again the next day as a shared lead or put into a cherry picking system. Shared leads are sold to multiple companies, each lead company has a different policy on the number of times sold as the more a lead is sold the less value/quality it becomes. Many leads are sold as aged, this means the lead is anywhere from 1day to over a year old although they are usually sold based on different such as 1-7, 30-60, 60–90 days old.

Once a qualified lead exists, additional operations may be performed such as background research on the lead's employer, general market of the lead, contact information beyond that provided initially or other information useful for contacting and evaluating a lead for elevation to prospect, the next sales step.

Sales leads are typically generated for closing a sale. As a result, they are information heavy - a sales lead would contain not only the basic information of a person (such as First Name, Last Name, Email, etc.), but also more detailed information such as FICO Score, Household Income, etc. In complete contrast, marketing leads contain only the basic contact information of a person, such as Name, Email and Social Networking handle. Advertisers use the information contained in a marketing lead to build a long-term relationship with the consumer via email, Facebook, Twitter or a brand community site.

If a sales lead eventually makes a purchase, this is called conversion and a closed sale. The ratio of sales leads that convert is often referred to as the conversion rate, a way to measure the effectiveness of a sales process, sales team, or sales person.

Butch Hamilton Business Directory is intended to provide Google readers with information, ideas, insights and perspectives into the world of search engine optimization. SEO is the art and science of creating a positive profile on the major search engines of the Internet. When done correctly, increased traffic and notoriety is inherently seen, and the site will become known in a relatively short amount of time.

My experience with the TLD .BIZ has been that it is a quite difficult domain to gain much traction on the Internet; however, since I do own BUTCHHAMILTON.BIZ, I thought that I would experiment just a bit and see if I can indeed, draw some interest to this site by fully implementing and integrating the powerful promoting system called Veretekk.

Some background insights into the .BIZ domain is noted here: biz is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System of the Internet. It is intended for registration of domains to be used by businesses. The name is a phonetic spelling of the first syllable of business.

The biz TLD was created to relieve some of the demand for domain names in the com top-level domain, and to provide an alternative for businesses whose preferred domain name in com had already been registered by another party. There are no specific legal or geographic qualifications to register a biz domain name, except that it must be for "bona fide business or commercial use". It was created in 2001 along with several other domains as the first batch of new gTLDs approved by ICANN in the expansion of the Domain Name System following the increased interest in Internet commerce in the late 1990s. The TLD is administered by NeuStar and registrations are processed via accredited registrars.

I will put into motion, several strategies to drive traffic to this site, and I will be closely monitoring the overall progress on the .BIZ so that I can provide readers with additional information along the way.

How to Create Titles

The title of any live submission found on Google today is exactly where the search engine spiders will place that information. The more specific, and the more diligent that one pursues this course of action in the overall aspects of search engine optimization, the better the results will be.

In this video, I chose the Google category RSS. This is a heavy keyword wit about 1,200,000 searches per month. I thought that this would be an excellent category to choose, as it will be the SEO campaign that I have put together for the Veretekk members to actually see and follow this process to the letter.

E would need additional tools and systems to begin thinking about pursuing this keyword phrase; therefore, I added: http://rss.veretekk.com and http://rss.seoexperttechniques.com to help me to achieve the desired position on Google that I am pursuing. Take note of the source codes on both of these sites, and you will see the harmonious blending of proper titles, follow up with metatags and keywords as well. I am also implementing the Veretekk RSS feed into this whole campaign.

After the initial setup of my various systems, I then set about the path to create content. I used RSS as the title of the blog and the RSS feeds as well. In other words, total harmony with the process that I am using in creating this powerful search engine optimization campaign.

Following this same path on literally any business one is building on Google, will yield excellent results. RSS (originally RDF Site Summary, often dubbed Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a feed, web feed, or channel includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.

RSS feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. A standardized XML file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

RSS feeds can be read using software called an RSS reader, feed reader, or aggregator, which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based. The user subscribes to a feed by entering into the reader the feed's URL or by clicking a feed icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. RSS allows users to avoid manually inspecting all of the websites they are interested in, and instead subscribe to websites such that all new content is pushed onto their browsers when it becomes available.

RSS feeds are an integral part of any proper search engine optimization campaign. Creating a solid RSS feed can result in added exposure on Google, and offers the ability to expand notoriety and presence to other people blogging systems that interject their particular feeds into the system. The key to writing effective RSS feeds simply deals with creating the right type of content. Content is the King on Google, and obviously, the better original content that is written, the better results will be found in marketing a site on the Internet.

Everywhere we look on the Internet, in spam emails, in articles, on forums, on press releases, in videos and even in Podcast, we hear that annoying little term, free. If you search on Google for the term free, you will find an amazing amount of stuff. So how in the world does this term free apply in marketing? Well, obviously it applies a lot as most people will advertise free stuff. You know the drill: "free tools, free training, free signups, free ads, free ad submission, free site builders, free conference rooms, free ad blasters, free leads, free lead generation, blast out your ad for free, signup for free and all the rest of the hooch that is seen in marketing. All sites do it. All people in Internet marketing do it. As a matter of fact, we have become so dulled by the word free, that we just blindly signup and then get angry because the company is spamming the inbox. Well my friend, YOU gave them that right when you signed up for free! So, put on your big boy pants and get over it. You asked for free, and you are getting free emails right now advertising more free stuff.

Quite frankly, I am NOT looking for people to signup for my free stuff. I will NEVER get paid for my efforts, and certainly am going to provide nothing on a free signup. I have a rule, and that rule is "unless you are willing to pay me for knowledge and expertise, get lost." I have no time for free mentality when it comes to putting meat and potatoes on my table. That sure as the world does NOT come for free, does it?

If you are marketing, trying to convince someone to signup for free, then you my friend, are a complete fool. If you want a lot of free people in your downline, then its ok. But, if you are trying to make money from your Internet business, then certainly you want to get paid, right? The answer is so simple. STOP PROMOTING FREE!

If you have something of great value, and promote it as free, then obviously people are going to say, "oh yeah, that must really be special, since its free!" People on the Internet today are savvy, and well versed in how the Internet works on Google. They are weary from idiots trying to coerce them into signing up for free, then expecting to get great results from their free program.

It has been said that the best things in life are free. If that is true, then how will we eat, pay mortgages, have Internet access, buy computers and all the rest of the things that we have to have to build a business with today?

SEO Campaign for EMMALOTT.COM

Some time ago, I purchased the domain name EMMALOTT.COM. I planned on using this domain name for professional profile branding purposes; however, I was not sure at what point I would fully implement the process of promoting that name. Since then, I have a clear focus and intent on how the domain will be used, and I thought it might make interesting reading to show and document the actual processes that I implement in creating a profile on Google for promoting purposes. The article will be an ongoing process as I go through all the steps that I use in the process called search engine optimization for a site. The process will be detailed; however, it will show actual processes used, and the results achieved by successfully promoting any domain to a particular keyword position on the Internet.

I always visualize where I wish the domain name to go on the search engines. For myself, this visualization, and actually seeing where the information will be placed, is always the first step in successful promoting. Search engine optimization is much more than most people tend to realize. It is highly important to setup in one's mind first, the intent and purpose of the site, before any work is actually accomplished. This step is often missed by most. There is much more involved in any SEO campaign that simply setting about the random drive by shooting that most try to accomplish. By known, seeing and visualizing my success, I have already put into motion the necessary elements to achieve desired results.

Step Two: Intent and Purpose

Once I have a clear focus of exactly where I want to go with a domain name, then the next step is to evaluate what I am I trying to accomplish with this site. EMMALOTT.COM is a site that is designed to lead Google readers to a series of Ebay listings, where products can be purchased. It is NOT a sales pitch site, but rather a funnel that will eventually lead people over to an area where purchases can be made on certain products offered on Ebay. Keeping this one purpose in mind, then the next step is to create a site that will work in harmony with necessary elements to achieve the results I wish to see. In that area, I created a simple, yet somewhat appealing site with links that will eventually lead over to the products for sale. All of the elements of the site are locked into place; e.g., the title, metatag description and keywords are as I want them to be. IN other words, on EMMALOTT.COM, is now locked and loaded to begin the promoting process. I will make some elemental changes over time to increase the overall success of the domain name.

Step 3: Site Tracking

Website tracking is key to the process as one wants to view actual visits to the site, and evaluate if the traffic is coming from search engines, blogs, forums etc. The only tracking tool that I have ever seen that is non-invasive to a site, and provides the necessary information I need is called Veretracking. This tracking tool in no way hinders the loading of the site, and gives me a real interpretation on the traffic stats that I need to see if I am being effective in my promoting process. Be very aware that not all tracking tools are created equal. Many will slow down the response time and loading of a site, and add peripheral information that you may not want.

What Is A Keyword?

An index term, subject term, subject heading, or descriptor, in information retrieval, is a term that captures the essence of the topic of a document. Index terms make up a controlled vocabulary for use in bibliographic records. They are an integral part of bibliographic control, which is the function by which libraries collect, organize and disseminate documents. They are used as keywords to retrieve documents in an information system, for instance, a catalog or a search engine. A popular form of keywords on the web are tags which are directly visible and can be assigned by non-experts also. Index terms can consist of a word, phrase, or alphanumerical term. They are created by analyzing the document either manually with subject indexing or automatically with automatic indexing or more sophisticated methods of keyword extraction. Index terms can either come from a controlled vocabulary or be freely assigned.

Keywords are stored in a search index. Common words like articles (a, an, the) and conjunctions (and, or, but) are not treated as keywords because it is inefficient to do so. Almost every English-language site on the Internet has the article "the", and so it makes no sense to search for it. The most popular search engine, Google removed stop words such as "the" and "a" from its indexes for several years, but then re-introduced them, making certain types of precise search possible again.

How Do You Search on Google?

When attempting to market goods and services on the Internet, it is very easy to miss the details that can make the difference between placing your information will find it, and no on ever seeing that information. The fact of the matter is that if you know how to search and drill down on the Google search engine, you are more likely to see exactly how to market your business more successfully.

Consider that Google is like a giant encyclopedia or dictionary. One can literally find anything and everything they need to know about, by just placing in the right words, or keywords in the box. For example, typing in the name of a company, one would find anything that has been written about them located in this section on Google. Below, I will conduct a few simple, yet revealing facets concerning how to search on Google.

For this presentation, I will choose the name Veretekk, to set the stage for searching, and then drilling down further to see if this business is real, or simply the work of affiliates desperately trying to make money.

When I type in Veretekk on a Google search, I see that there seems to be a relatively high number of category entries. In other words, the name Veretekk has been mentioned on live submission services many times in the past. I can tell who is working the Veretekk business, but more importantly, I can see that the activity is impressive, and if I were wanting to subscribe to the system, I might just consider doing that. NOTE: Do NOT be logged into a Google account when searching. If you wish to gain a true count, you will have to log out of your Google account to see actual results! I see that there is apparently activity there, and I can read and research for myself, other people's reactions to both the site, and to the results by using the system.

I will now drill down, to learn even more. I will place in the Google search: links:www.veretekk.com on the Google, and see how many sites have mentioned them in some sort of live submission service.

Once again, I have uncovered more information concerning Veretekk.com, and now can review the different sites that are linking to, and discussing the system in detail. Veretekk, as seen on Statsie, is further revealed to the amount of sites that are in fact linking in, and I can further click those links, to drill down even more.

I could even research and drill down to find out how much Veretekk.com is worth on the open domain name market. On this site, StatsShow, a fair representation, and an even more indepth look at Veretekk.com can be revealing.

Now, one should be getting the point on how to check out a business model, or site, on Google, and drill down to a much greater degree, to see if the business model is showing excellent results, or rather, is someone simply trying to fake it until they make it, in terms of being a viable business in which to subscribe.

In fact, the process can be taken down to bottom lines even better by visiting Veretekk.com on Alexa.com. For those who know Alex.com, they are simply a site rating service. Their statistics are gathered from people who have the Alexa Tool Bar installed on their computer. This is a good thing to do if one is marketing a site, as each visit will become a vote for the site. Obviously, the more votes the site receives, the LOWER the Alexa.com ranking becomes, and shows visitors real time results concerning traffic, rank, sites linking in and much more. There is some controversy among so called SEO experts to the validity of the findings there; however, this author agrees with researching Alexa.com for a true picture.

One final note should be made in this article concerning gathering statistical data on sites. The ONLY legitimate tracking tool I have ever found is called Veretracking. Others like the ones found in Google Tools for Webmasters can be used, but personally, I do not trust the results on any system that adds additional peripheries to the site for me. Almost all other tracking services do just that, but not so with the Veretracking site tool.

It is a wise move indeed to move ahead with caution and actually drill down using Google and Alexa.com before making a logical decision about subscribing, or buying any product found on the Internet. Always understand that most of what one sees online is a myth, and having the innate ability to actually research and check different sites and companies online, makes the difference on whether to spend hard earned money in purchasing them.

Since website design services is my business, I am always in the forward motion of designing, improvising, researching and developing sites to their maximum potential. This morning, I researched on Google, ButchHamilton.org. I found some interesting sites that speak about the website in detail, and I believe that this information could provide valuable information for my Google readers.

I do follow closely, ButchHamilton.org on Alexa.com. I find that pursuing this course of action is much more positive, and gives me an in depth look into the activity, as well as the page views being seen, rather than depending solely on Google, Yahoo and the other search engines. i need clear date, and as a matter of fact, the only tracking system that I totally trust is called Veretracking from Veretekk. This is the only site tracking system, in my professional opinion, that gives an honest evaluation of both traffic, but also insights as to who is clicking and visiting the site on a regular basis.
